This was my first time to visit Nagoya and since Toyota’s origins are rooted here, I thought a three day visit might be helpful to understand my roots as my grandfather’s family birth name is Toyoda.
- I visited the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology and to my surprise learned about the beginnings of the company in textiles.
- Since I was only in Nagoya for a short time, I wanted to see as much as possible. Set out to 3 museums in one day. To my surprise and after 20,000 steps and about 10 miles, I was able to see:
- Nagoya City Science Museum
- Nagoya Aquarium/Port
- Mirai Tower and Oasis 21 where they were having an Anime Gathering
- Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art
- Arimatsu Narumi Tie Dyeing District
As I found out Nagoya had way more things that I wanted to see and visit. Definitely need to come back and spend more time here.
