HOW TO PLAN A TRIP TO JAPAN

Here are some tips to help you plan your trip to Japan. Before all my trips, I use a to-do list, like the one below, to ensure I have everything I need to make traveling to Japan as seamless as possible.

Japan Travel To-Do List

  • Make sure your Passport is in order and review Entry Requirements. VISA maybe required.
  • Make Plane Reservations.
    • I have flown ANA on several occasions; it has been the best experience.
  • Plan Itinerary: I use google sheets and create a calendar. Shareable with others and lets them know where you are.
  • Make Hotel Reservations
    • I used Expedia.com, Hotels.com to compare.
    • Also, check the prices directly with the hotel. The current exchange rate might be different.
  • Rent Pocket WiFi
  • Exchange Foreign Currency 
    • Research Best Exchange Rates 
  • Check on International Health Insurance
  • If you are currently taking any medications check to make you have enough for you trip.
  • International Drivers Permit (Optional)
    • Japan’s public transportation system it one of the best, so unless you need to be in a remote area, an International Drivers Permit may not be necessary.

        • Get Passport Photos

  • Review Japan Entry Requirements.
  • Get Covid Test 72 hr before departure time.
